Funding for the scholarships is earned at various events throughout the year, enabling deserving and talented students an opportunity to continue their education and ease the financial burden of doing so. Working in conjunction with guidance counselors, the Scholarship Committee is responsible for selecting those in whom the investment is made. Co-chairs Barbara Storer and Sara Fohr, and committee members Jackie Wakefield, Ruth Pavelchik, Sara Tripiciano and Jan O’Keefe were proud to present their selections to members and culminate the club year with the award of these much-appreciated scholarships.
June 5 was the last meeting of the club year. The first meeting for the 2013-'14 club year will be Sept. 4. Members are reminded to pay their dues by then to ensure they are in the Ladies Club Directory. Checks ($15) may be mailed to FGLC, Village Green Mall, P.O. Box 2004, Fairfield Glade, Tenn.
