See the nativities display at Fellowship Baptist

CROSSVILLE — Ready or not, the Christmas (frenzied) shopping, buying, wrapping, partying, over-eating season is upon us! In the midst of this overwhelming, oppressive, stressful and exhausting time of year, it is very easy to forget the Reason for the Season.

Well, mark your calendar or write yourself a note to take time out to swing by the library at Fellowship Baptist Church, 12 Westminster Court, FFG, where you can take a deep breath, relax and soak in reminders of the real Reason for Christmas; The greatest Gift ever given; The Christ Child, sent to us from God.

Again this year, Sharon Hilton has her collection of nearly 150 Nativities on display all during the month of December. While none of her nativities are expensive, they do represent a number of countries, cultures and art forms, and she will share the stories and histories of several of them with you.  Admission is free. Use the library entrance ... first door as you come into the church parking lot.

The viewing times are: Monday and Wednesday mornings (except Christmas Day) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday evenings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. If you are part of a Bible study, church, civic, charity, youth or school group, please call 456-2525 to schedule a separate viewing time.
