Dogs running at large
According to Tennessee State Law, it is unlawful for any person knowingly to permit any dog owned by that person or under that person’s control, or that may be habitually found on premises occupied by that person, to run at large. See Tennessee Code Annotated 44-8-408, and Title 10 of the Animal Control Section of the Tennessee State Law.
It is also unlawful for any person to own, keep or harbor any dog or cat without having the same duly vaccinated against rabies and registered in accordance with the provisions of the “Tennessee Anti-Rabies Law”. See Tennessee Code Annotated 68-8-101 through 68-8-114.
It is unlawful for any person to own, keep or harbor any dog which does not wear a tag evidencing the vaccination and registration required by the “Tennessee Anti-Rabies Law.”
Let’s respect everyone by not letting our dogs and cats run at large, keeping our animals vaccinated according to the “Tennessee Anti-Rabies Law,” and registered in accordance with the provisions in that law.
Any questions that pertain to animal control in the Fairfield Glade area may be directed to the Fairfield Glade Department of Public Safety at 484-3785 or the Cumberland County Animal Control office at 456-9873.
Always “Think Safety” and have a great week!
