The East Tennessee Public Broadcasting System has named Fairfield Glade Resident Services (FGRS) as one of 12 recipients of the “Be More Awards.” These awards are given to leaders in the East Tennessee viewing area who contribute to the overall well-being of their community through education, the arts, health sciences or other forms of charitable giving or community involvement. These awards are presented through the generosity of the Home Federal Bank of Knoxville, TN.
FGRS was nominated for this award because of the human and social services programs it provides to all residents of their community, especially those who want to stay in their homes as they age.
Throughout mid-August through mid-September of 2014 viewers will see FGRS on their local PBS station in informational spots highlighting the programs FGRS is involved in.
Ken Schuning, President of FGRS, would like to express his gratitude to the East Tennessee PBS and Home Federal Bank for this award proving that FGRS is a leader in this community and believing that “Together, We Can Enhance Our Quality of Life.”
