Local businesses pledge to offer free services to military on Freedom Day, set for Sept. 12

Dr. Calley Jo Elsea of Cloudland Dental is happy to announce a number of local businesses have signed on to offer free services to members of the military and their families on Freedom Day USA, set Sept. 12, 2013.

Businesses across the United States will join in Freedom Day USA, a national thank you movement for the members of the military and their immediate families, along with veterans. Those who have served have missed out on birthdays, graduations, anniversaries and more. Their families have endured constant worry for their loved one's safety and make daily sacrifices most Americans cannot imagine. To show appreciation, each business participant is providing a thank you gift in the form of free services, goods, discounts, and various other offers.

In Crossville, Elsea will be offering free basic dental services to active and retired military. To take part, individuals need to schedule an appointment and bring their military identification card.

Joining Cloudland Dental will be Shadden Tire, free oil changes; Cumberland County Playhouse, a chance to win tickets to a show; Best One Tire, free tire rotations; Victory Automotive, free oil changes; Dave Kirk Automotive, a chance to win a 32-inch television; Crossville Heating and Cooling, free heating/cooling inspection throughout September; Crossville Barber Shop, a chance to win a free hair care basket; Jays Barber Shop, free hair cuts; Cookeville Honda, free oil changes; Zaxby's of Crossville, a chance to win a gift card; and Amber Angel, a chance to win Sentsy Baskets. Also participating are Cozy Cottage, Fort Seal National Bank, Elite Markets and Cumberland Automotive. Also, the U.S. Army recruiter will be available in front of Cloudland Dental that day.

More businesses are joining the movement each day. Elsea is challenging Crossville and Cumberland County to be the most active community in the United States.

Season Byrd, office manager at Cloudland Dental, has been named the Freedom Day USA coordinator for Crossville and can assist any business that would like to be involved. To learn more about this national thank you movement, or to sign your business up as a participant for future events, you can contact Byrd at 484-3007 or email season@cloudlanddental.com, or the event's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/FreedomDayUsa.
