Four new members were inducted at the Fairfield Glade Lions Club June 3 meeting. Membership Chairman Jerry McBride performed the ceremony pointing out that three of the four were born in Tennessee.
New member Lisa Copeland was born and raised in Nashville. She moved to Crossville in 2003 from Murfreesboro, Tenn. She graduated from Father Ryan High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University for two years. She is currently the FFG Branch Manager of Progressive Savings Bank. Lion Bob Cover sponsored Lisa.
New member Kenneth Cox was born and raised in Kentucky. He and his wife, Sammie, of 49 years moved to FFG from Citrus Springs, Florida in 2005. Kenneth was an Insurance Agent before retirement. His favorite things to do are golf, fish and teach men’s Bible Class. Lion Bill Silence sponsored Ken for membership.
New member Bill McCay was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tenn. He spent his working career as an engineer in the field where he holds a BS and MBA degree in mechanical engineering. Bill and his wife, Marcia, of nine years moved to FFG from Ann Arbor, Mich. in March 2013. Bill enjoys golf, tennis, hiking and reading. His membership sponsor was Jerry McBride.
The fourth new member is State Representative Cameron Sexton. Cameron was born and raised in Lake City, Tenn. and holds a degree from the University of Tennessee. He is currently our State Representative of District 25. Cameron and wife Lacey have been married for one year. Lacey is a Pharmacist with Kroger. Cameron is currently an honorary member of the Crossville Noon Rotary, board member of the FFG Good Samaritan Society, member of the CMC Foundation and Board member of the Friends of Cumberland Mountain State Park. Current Lion President Dan Richardson sponsored Cameron for membership.
