Blood drive reaches 99 percent of goal

CROSSVILLE — Another successful blood drive was held on Nov. 2 at the FFG United Methodist Church, with 70 registered donors and 74 productive pints collected. The goal was 75, so the goal was missed by only one. That is 99 percent of the goal! A heartfelt thank you to all the donors! Donors help save so many lives!

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers! Your dedication to this wonderful cause is so appreciated. The volunteers were: Linda Watts, Connie Versema, Alayne Gordon, Josephine Incampo, Pam Mattheis, Tim Durkin, Fay Kowalsky, Glenda Kersten, Deb Johns, Virginia Wadsworth, and Sheila Walden. Thank you also goes to Bernice Polizzotto, realtor for Pioneer Realty, who personally donates a $25 gift certificate.

Please mark your calendars for the next FFG Blood Drive on Jan. 4, 2013, at the FFG United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-REDCROSS, or go to redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code Fairfield 19.

Strive for 100 percent or more on Jan. 4, and show how great the community responds to such a worthy cause!
