A few of our favorite things, Donald, Ross and Stephens to perform one-of-a-kind show Dec. 4

CROSSVILLE — DSquared (D2) Productions once again sends out heartfelt thanks to those who made the Malt Shop Music and Memories production another sold out success. The response to this show was overwhelming and sold out in four days. People called for tickets after it sold out and the phones kept ringing even up to the day of the show. The waiting list was so long they decided to bring back the “Malt Shop” (without a meal to accommodate a larger group) early in the 2013 season.

You might think that with the success of “Patsy Cline and the Legends” and “Malt Shop Memories Dinner Theater” this group might be satisfied to sit on their laurels. No way. The December holiday production will be a magical night of song and comedy not to be missed. This will take place at the Convention and Event Center of the Cumberlands (5429 Peavine Road) on Monday, Dec. 10 at 5:30 p.m.

“A Few of Our Favorite Things… Music & Memories of the Holidays & More” brings together three of Cumberland County’s most beloved entertainers starring in one magical evening. Dennis Donald, Jason Ross, and Regina Stephens come together to entertain you with behind the scenes stories, anecdotes of their careers, ad-lib comedy, and most important, favorite songs and beloved holiday music of the past.

This will be an intimate evening, a one-of-a-kind show and a time to get to know these performers a little better. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience this limited seating, up close and personal performance. The music will be a variety of standards, show tunes, country, blues, ‘50s through ‘70s and, of course, the best Christmas songs. The lights will be low, the performers will be spotlighted and the dance floor will be eagerly awaiting your rhythmic feet.

A catered buffet meal of Sarah salad, honey glazed ham, oven roasted turkey, baby red skin mashed potatoes, fiesta corn, green beans with hot bacon vinaigrette dressing, yeast rolls, pumpkin spice cream cheese cake, iced tea and coffee will precede the show.

The cost is $25 and reservations need to be made and paid by Tuesday, Dec. 4. This event is already half sold out just by word of mouth, so please don’t wait until the last minute to make your reservation. Reservations can be made by calling 456-1972 or Verizon cell 864-314-5716 and tickets will be delivered. You can also pick up tickets at the R&B Café on Peavine Road, past Pirate’s Plateau and to the left of Mayberry’s Interiors, in the Peavine Plaza.
