The Cumberland Plateau Christian Women's Connection luncheon will be a time of giving thanks for 20 years of enjoying fun, food, fellowship and sharing the love of Jesus with many area women. This celebration will be held Thursday, Nov. 15 at The Terrace family life center of Cumberland Fellowship Church, 1640 West Avenue, Crossville, TN.
The doors will open at 11:15 a.m., with the luncheon and program from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The caterer, Forte's Restaurant will serve roasted pork loin, red potatoes, a vegetable medley, fall dessert and beverages. The heart smart alternative is grilled chicken breast with the same sides. The cost is only $12, all inclusive.
Our featured musician and inspirational speaker will be Brenda Copeland of Bastrop, LA. Brenda, who has a lovely contralto voice, will present a "mini concert" with songs that lead up to her topic titled "Walking on the Wild Side." She will share how she sent from walking on the wide side of life to taming the wild beast within her.
Brenda has been a Stonecroft Ministries speaker since 1997. She and her husband of 33 years, Kelvin, have an adult daughter and son-in-love, two wonderful grandchildren and a four-legged, 75-pound 'son' named Jake.
She is a former Miss America contestant, an accomplished gospel music recording artist with 11 albums and a DVD to her credit, and will have some of them with her for purchase at the luncheon. As a cancer survivor and former drug and alcohol abuser who has dealt with spousal abuse and an emotional breakdown, Brenda can identify with and encourage women facing similar situations today.
Reservations are needed by Saturday, Nov. 10, at noon. Call Carolyn at 931-484-9556 or email email@example.com .
