CMC recognized for blood donations — give again on May 4

Cumberland Medical Center (CMC) employees took the challenge in January going beyond their goal with 128 percent of blood collected. The hospital was listed in the USA Today newspaper as an Every Day Life Saver for their successful 50 blood donations. CMC will host the Fairfield Glade Community Blood Drive on Friday, May 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A custom t-shirt will be available for each presenting donor. For an appointment, please call Sue Streets, 456-6690. Walk-ins welcome, however appointments have priority. From left are Jean Ann Mayberry, American Red Cross donor recruitment representative; Debi Davis, CMC executive director of physician relations; Dr. Barry S. Walker, CMC CEO; Lou Tuck, volunteer extraordinaire; Tina Treadway, public relations, volunteer services and communications.
