Small lakes prove to be a real test for Bass Club

Submitted

CROSSVILLE — Lakes Canterbury and Catherine were the sites for Fairfield Glade Bass Club's Tournament 11. Usually the smaller lakes provide fishermen with several larger fish, but this was not the story this year.  A total of 21 fishermen participated with a grand total of 79 bass being caught and released. The weather was great for each tournament day and water temperatures were around 80 degrees. Baits used were primarily plastic worms, lizards and Senkos. The results are as follows:

First Place – Ed Wolters and Richard Green with five bass weighing in at 7.08 pounds

Second Place – Jim Webb and John Slinkard with five bass weighing 4.86 pounds

Third Place – Lee Murray, fishing alone, having five bass weighing 4.43 pounds

Fourth Place – Tom Teall and Jim McCulloch with five bass weighing 4.29 pounds

Fifth Place –  John Upp and Ken Krambeck having five bass weighing 4.19 pounds

Big Bass Honors went to Ed Wolters with his 20 inch 4.42 pound bass

Overall Bass Club Standings are as follows:

First Place – Ron Riccetti

Second Place – Lee Murray

Third Place – Dave Hixson

Fourth Place – John Upp

Fifth Place – Jim Webb
