CROSSVILLE —

The FFG Lions Club honors Cumberland County High School senior Cemre Chadwick as October “Student of the Month.” Her Counselor, Leslie Eldridge, selected Cemre to receive one of the monthly awards because of her grades, school and outside activities.

Ms. Chadwick is a member of the Interact Club at school, does a large amount of community service, and works in the school front office where she enjoys contact with people every day. Her other activities include heavy involvement with her church youth group where she carries out a variety of different services. She has experienced a mission trip to Peru that helped fulfill her passion of helping others. Her hobbies include playing the ukulele, painting and drawing.

Cemre has not yet selected a specific college for her advanced education. Her desire is to obtain degrees in business management and human resources before gaining a degree in interior design. Her major goal is to eventually own an interior design business some day.

Cemre Chadwick becomes the third student named so far this school year by the Fairfield Glade (FFG) Lions Club as “Student of the Month.” There will be four students from CCHS, four from SMHS plus two from the Phoenix School to receive the honor during the 2012-'13 school year.

All 10 students and their parents will be invited to attend a special Lions Club dinner in May 2013 to recognize their achievement. An engraved plaque with their name and special month will be presented after a brief introduction to the assembled Lions Club members.

The 10 “Student of the Month” winners will have the opportunity to apply for the FFG Lions Club Scholarship Fund of $6,000. This fund was established to help them continue into their higher education life.
