Jack H. Dahlhaus
May 11, 1921 — Dec. 6, 2008
Jack H. Dahlhaus, 87, of Fairfield Glade, passed away very unexpectedly Dec. 6, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 11 at the Olthof Funeral Home of Elmira/Southport, NY, with the Rev. Irene Nowak officiating, assisted by the Rev. Karen Davenport. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Hilltop Cemetery, Breesport, NY.
Mr. Dahlhaus was born May 11, 1921, in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Charles and Anna Meyer Dahlhaus.
He was a proud veteran of World War II and a member of the Fairfield Glade Community Church and a former member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and the Starkey Methodist Church. He owned and operated Del Electric for many years. He enjoyed his cottage that was built with the help of his father-in-law on Seneca Lake.
Jack will always be remembered for being a devoted family man who loved his work and found great pleasure in the outdoors and his garden.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverley M. Dahlhaus of Tennessee. Together they enjoyed a wonderful life together with a son, Charles (Phyllis) Dahlhaus of Breesport, NY; and daughter, Kay (Paul) Moyer of Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Robert (Cori) Moyer of Getzville, NY, Jack Moyer of Eureka Springs, AR, Michelle (John) Adams of Petosky, MI, and Brent (Tracy) Dahlhaus of Medina, NY; and also nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Dahlhaus.
Memorial donations maybe made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Heart Association in Jack H. Dahlhaus' name.

Joyce A. Glabach
Nov. 29, 1931 — Dec. 1, 2008
Joyce Ann (Sheridan) Glabach, 77, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Dec. 1, 2008. A memorial service was held Dec. 6 at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Will Wells and the Rev. Lanita Pride officiating.
Mrs. Glabach was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Sylvester and Melissa (Simpkins) Sheridan.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Francis Glabach of Fairfield Glade; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Joseph Stegmeyer of Nashville; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Monica Glabach of Fenton, MI, and Scott and Sheri Glabach of Brighton, MI; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ray Reuter.

Walter W. Mothes
Oct. 30, 1921 — Dec. 7, 2008
Walter William Mothes, 87, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Dec. 7, 2008. A memorial service was held Dec. 13 at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Will Wells and the Rev. Lanita Pride officiating.
Mr. Mothes was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Germany, the son of Eric and Elizabeth (Heimer) Mothes.
He was retired from General Motors in Michigan and a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading and loved all animals.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ilse S. (Wirth) Mothes of Fairfield Glade; daughters, Kathy Watson of Fairfield Glade, Nancy Lojuk of Magnolia, TX and Patty Clark of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Steven Lojuk, Jeff Lojuk, Christopher Haanpaa, Michael Haanpaa, Eric Lojuk, Bryan Lojuk and Sabrina Sherrill; and great-grandchildren, Corbin Lojuk and Skyler Lojuk.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carelton A. Whiteside
Aug. 14, 1935 — Dec. 7, 2008
Carelton "Carel" Alexander Whiteside, 73, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Dec. 7, 2008. A memorial service was held Dec. 13 at Fairfield Glade Community Church, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Taylor officiating.
Mr. Whiteside was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Westlock, Alberta, Canada, the son of Ralph and Edith (Bourne) Whiteside.
He was the president of ATCO Structure for 25 years, which took him around the world. He retired from All American Homes in Springfield, TN. He was a member of Fairfield Glade Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Weeks) Whiteside of Fairfield Glade; daughter and son-in-law, Hillary Whiteside and Kyle Coulter of San Diego, CA; sisters, Dorothy Reeves of Bend, OR, Norma Worton and Ruth Power of British Columbia; and brother, Edgar Whiteside of Edmonton, Alberta.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott Whiteside.
"He is loved so dearly by many and the memories will bring us comfort. Gone from our sight, gone from our touch, forever in our hearts."
