The day was warm and sunny as guests toured Lake St. George, then enjoyed a picnic supper and friendships at the FFG Hospice Auxiliary’s annual Boat Float and Barbecue on June 9. The auxiliary would like to thank all the captains for use of their pontoon boats and ticket printing by Paula Navarro of the Hospice office, as well as the many great sponsors.
Kelly and family, of Big Boy’s Barbecue, served a delicious beef brisket and grilled chicken with all the trimmings for dinner. He always does a great job. And to all the auxiliary members who baked the “Texas Sheet Cakes” a big thank you.
Again Mary Dega, Mary Listenberger and Toni Miller, 2009 Boat Float co-chairs, and their committees did an outstanding job to make this event a big fundraiser for Hospice of Cumberland County. We thank you all for making this annual event a success.

Held on June 9, the boat float always draws the numbers who want to take a ride around the lake and eat some barbecue, all while helping a good cause.
A scenic ride around the lake is always a part of the annual Fairfield Glade Hospice Auxiliary's Boat Float. It provides a great opportunity to see some of the prettiest properties on Lake St. George.
