— "Caring in the Cumberlands" presented Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center focused attention on the agencies and services available to the citizens of Cumberland County who function in the role of caregiver or those individuals in the position of care receiver.
Joan Fredericks, director of resident services, is to be commended for her efforts in bringing this very informational event to fruition for all those who reside in Cumberland County. This event, free to the public, provided current information regarding diet, exercise, medical services, medical information, and the importance of socialization for optimal health whatever the condition of the caregiver and the care receiver might be at the given time.
This successful occurrence was made possible by many individuals who donated their time and energy to assist caregivers and care receivers in their endeavor to live life more abundantly. If you missed this year's occasion make plans to attend the one I hope is being planned for next year. A wealth of information awaits you and your loved one.
