Fellowship Baptist Church cuts the ribbon on new pavilion — more plans already set

For the grand opening of the church pavilion, Fellowship Baptist Church had several visitors to help them observe the dedication and ribbon cutting. U.S. Congressman Lincoln Davis spoke to the congregation first. A dedication message by Dr. David Little of Baptist Church Planters was next, followed by the ribbon-cutting. Dignitaries present, in addition to Congressman Davis and Dr. Little, were Judy Brooks of Cumberland County Bank and Congressman Davis’ aide, John Robbins. Several visitors from the community were also present. Dennis Donald entertained after a time of food and fellowship. Plans are already in place for immediate use of the pavilion. The church's vacation Bible school will take place there June 23-27, and an Independence Day celebration is planned for Saturday, July 5, from 2-6 p.m. with a free "Gospel Jamboree." Entertainers at the "Jamboree" will be “T”, Gospel Strings, Dennis Donald, Greater Faith, Jay David, and Barbara Geiger and Cathy Childs. A love offering will be taken for the entertainers.
