The Fairfield Glade Lions Club distributed $3,000 in scholarship monies among several students at Cumberland County and Stone Memorial high schools. All of the students were honored as a Student of the Month during the 2008-09 school term and were selected by the faculties at Cumberland County and Stone Memorial High Schools. This is the sixth year that local students have been honored by the Fairfield Glade Lions Club.
Scholarship checks were presented at commencement exercises at the two high schools. The scholarships will help these students fund their tuitions at various colleges and universities in both Tennessee and neighboring states. The Lions Club is proud to recognize these fine young graduates.
