James C. Hudgens
March 17, 1922 — March 17, 2008
James Clyde Hudgens, 86, of Fairfield Glade, passed away March 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20, from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Wayne Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens with full military honors provided by the Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hudgens was born March 17, 1922, in Crossville, the son of Lon Nathan and Betty Jane Clementine (Gossage) Hudgens.
He was retired from Rabold Brokerage Company and was a member of Fairfield Glade Baptist Church. He served in the United States Merchant Marines and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jane (Sackman) Hudgens of Fairfield Glade; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Sara Hudgens of Cookeville and Jim and Martha Hudgens of Crossville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Beatrice Hines, Sarah Frances O'Keefe and Betty Ernestine Puryear; and brothers, Edward Hudgens, Roy Hudgens, E.J. Hudgens and Walter Blanton Hudgens.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Millie Stewart
March 23, 1920 — March 19, 2008
Millie (Anderson) Stewart, 87, of Pleasant Hill, passed away March 19, 2008. Funeral services were conducted March 22 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Ronald Harris and Sister Geneva Harris officiating. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY.
Mrs. Stewart was born March 23, 1920, in Wolf Creek, KY, the daughter of Cameron and Barbara (Siler) Anderson.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Richard Stewart of Brookfield, CT; daughter, Brenda Asher of Lake Orion, MI; sister, Arizona Breuer of Crossville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Stewart; son, Michael Stewart; sisters, Gertie Anderson, Virgie Anderson, Nora Pau, Rebecca Schmale, Audell Leech and Era Moses; and brothers, George Anderson, Troy Anderson and Ed Anderson.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Martha A. Taylor
Feb. 1, 1919 — March 20, 2008
Martha Agnes (Rice) Taylor, 89, of Fairfield Glade, passed away March 20, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Whitten Timberlake Funeral Home in Lynchburg, VA. Interment will be in Virginia Memorial Park in Forest, VA. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 1, 1919, in Lynchburg, VA, the daughter of Silas Preston and Josephine (Fuller) Rice.
She and her husband owned and operated a Harley Davidson franchise. She was of the Baptist faith. She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Taylor and William Hyder of Pearland, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Patricia Taylor of Richmond, VA; sisters, Ruby Hamilton of Forest, VA, Mary Johnson of Forest, VA and Ernestine Garwood of Pulaski, VA; brothers, Benjamin Rice of Evington, VA and Preston Rice of Haymarket, VA; and three grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cornelius Taylor.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
