Robert Leroy Springer, 77, of Fairfield Glade, passed away March 11, 2008. Memorial services were conducted March 14 from Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Max Mayo and the Rev. Lanita Pride officiating.
Mr. Springer was born Dec. 31, 1930, in New Washington, OH, the son of Ellsworth and Grace McPheron Springer.
He was retired as a project manager with Kamutso Dresser and spent 23 years with the Army National Guard, retiring as major. He was also a member of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and church activities were always his first priority. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and several golf leagues. He was also a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice "Sally" Springer of Fairfield Glade; son, Robert Daryl Springer of Bucyrus, OH; daughter, Charlotte Jean Bricker of Lewis Center, OH; brothers, Everett Springer of Temple Terrace, FL, and Jay Springer of Redondo Beach, CA; sister, Jane Lavon Biddinger of Cleburne, TX; grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
