CROSSVILLE — We may all be busy, but as we get closer to Thanksgiving Day, we all have reasons to be thankful. Join Fair Park Senior Center this Friday morning as the Gospel Trio comes to sing at 9:45 a.m. They have sung at 23 events this past year. The trio were in the Crossville’s Got Talent Show as well as at Pioneer Day.

It is always fun to hear Naomi Hicks yodel. She is originally from Knoxville. Virgil and his wife are from California. This trio came together in harmony at the Memorial Baptist Church. Come join in on the songs you know and love with the Gospel Trio this Friday morning, play some bingo sponsored by United Grocery Outlet and get signed up for lunch.

Remember, the senior center will be closed for Thanksgiving and the Friday after.

Christmas will be here real soon. So how do you get in the mood? By getting tickets to the fourth annual Lucas and Friends Christmas Variety Show, which is set for Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Palace. It's always a wonderful show to go to each year. Make it a tradition.

Tickets are only $10 per seat and are available at the senior center or by calling Ruth or Wayne Lucas at 248-2487. Hey! It’s time to get ready for the holidays, folks!

Maybe you’re a senior who is a little lonely. Visit Fair Park Senior Center and meet some new friends soon.

The center is at 1433 Livingston Rd, just across from the fairgrounds. Check out their website to learn more at http://www.fairparkseniorcenter.org. Fair Park Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with some evening classes. Call the center at 484-7416.
