Monthly pancake breakfasts set

Tansi Community Church at 2067 Cravens Dr. is starting a community pancake breakfast to be held in the church basement on the first Saturday of each month from 7:30-10 a.m. with a suggested donation of $3 per person. The purpose of this is to raise funds for the men's group to support various projects for the church.



Take a course in miracles

Anyone interested in joining an existing or new study group of "A Course in Miracles," please call Richard and Lucille Kelly at 459-2343 or Mike and Wendy Weibel, 707-9054. This is a curriculum for obtaining and extending inner peace. It is not affiliated with any specific religion and normally meets on a weekly basis.



Deeper Still slated for Oct. 13-15

Worship at a brush arbor

Come worship at an old fashion Brush Arbor from Friday, Aug. 18, through Sept. 2. Services begin each night at 7 p.m. EDT (no service Sundays). The special speakers will be the Rev. Paul Daniel, the Rev. Ellis Chastine, the Rev. Donnie Lawson, the Rev. Bobby Kline and others. There will be special music each night. The services will be held on Dayton Mountain in Bledsoe County on Walker Town Road and Timber Lane. From Dayton, travel route 30 west to Kiuka Road or 443E turn left, and follow the signs. Singing planned at Copeland Chapel

Fish fry scheduled for Sept. 2

Crossville First Free Will Baptist Church, 1125 E. First St., will have a fish fry at 4 p.m. on Sept. 2 at the fellowship hall. There will be food, singing and fellowship. Donations will go to the Greeneville, TN, children's home. For more information, call 484-9580.

Enjoy fellowship in the Garden

Singing and fellowship is planned at the Garden on the west end of Main Street in Pleasant Hill for Aug. 26. At 4 p.m., 4 Victory performs. The Hymnsmen Quartet will be in Knoxville on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Chapman Highway Wal-Mart. Bring your chairs and enjoy several groups. The concert will begin at 5 p.m. in the parking lot. The Hymnsmen Quartet will be in Maryville on Sunday, Aug. 27, at Everett Hill Baptist Church. Everett Hill Baptist Church is located at 401 S. Everett High Rd. in Maryville. The concert will begin at 6 p.m.



Outland Singers plan performance

Concert scheduled for Sept. 8

Church of the Harvest is sponsoring a free concert on Sept. 8 at Clarkrange High School. Tony Gore will perform at 7:30 p.m., Nathan Smith will perform at 6:30 p.m. and Mountain Rose will perform at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free, and doors open at 5 p.m. Door prizes will be given. All proceeds go toward the church's ministries.



Church holds dedication on Aug. 27

Community Independent Freewill Baptist Church will dedicate its church to the Lord at 10 a.m. on Aug. 27. The church is off Hwy. 70 on the corner of Bell Road.



Revival set at Lantana Road Baptist

Lantana Road Baptist will have a revival Aug. 27-29. Services will be at 8:45 a.m., 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
