The 127 South Senior Center meeting was called to order by President Emil Neitzke at 10:40 a.m., followed by a prayer by Janice Clingerman and then the Pledge of Allegiance led by Ray Roberson.
Fred Whittaker called the bingo numbers, and the prizes were provided by Quality Home Health. Lucy Elmore brought the Jamaican Target Sweepstakes — Foreign Lottery Fraud calls that are going around the community. lf you get such a call, please call FTC at (202) 326-2180.
Emil announced there will be an AARP driving course April 13 at the 127 South Senior Center. The cost is $12 for members and $14 for non-members. The sign-up sheet is on the front table.
Treasurer Jan gave members the trip report for the coming year: April trip to Memphis; May trip to the Sutton General Store; June trip to England, etc.; July trip to Day Lily Farm; and August trip to the Jack Daniels Distillery.
The trip in September to Mackinac Island, MI, has two spaces available on the second trip. November will be a trip to the Cumberland Playhouse, and the December trip will be at the Grand Ole Opry, not all is finalized for this trip as of yet.
Sunshine Lady Nancy Fincher reported all the members who are either in hospital, recovering at home or just under the weather. Prayers and best wishes go to all of them.
Entertainment was provided by Tom Fincher and Cowboy Bob, which was very much enjoyed by the seniors. Some even did a few dance steps.
