Plateau Corvette Club celebrates second birthday in style

CROSSVILLE — It is an impressive sight to see a long line of vintage through the latest model Corvettes tooling down the highways or spiraling over the hills and valleys of Tennessee and bordering states.

About two years ago, Larry Backus wrote an article about a handful of guys establishing a local Corvette club. After almost two years, the Plateau Corvette Club is indeed established, with membership growing from about 20 to over 80 to date.

The highways and by-ways of Tennessee are an attraction for motorcyclists, bus tours and family car trips. This is especially true from the fresh spring blooms through the spectacular fall crescendo of color.

However, if you want to travel in style, you might want to travel with the Plateau Corvette Club. Their adventures are fun, family oriented and not beyond speed limits. The highway patrol loves them and you will, too, you may even want to get your own Corvette.
