CROSSVILLE — The Seniors of 127 South met Oct. 19 for their regular games, coffee and conversation. Wendell Lester called the bingo numbers and Buckeye Home Health furnished the prizes.

Fred Zoeller, president, opened the regular meeting with prayer given by Leroy Hinkson and the pledge to the flag led by Mary McClure.

Dec. 11 is the trip to Pigeon Forge for a Christmas Show. Next September will be the trip to Mackinac Island. Jan is still planning a trip to England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales for 2013. A new trip is planned to Memphis and Tunica April 15-19 at a cost of $375.

Our Thanksgiving meal will be served Nov. 16 with the cost being $7 and the Christmas meal, which is catered, will be served Dec. 14. There will be no meeting Nov. 23 at the center.

The Stars of the Cumberlands will be at the Palace Oct. 30 and the cost is $10 with tickets available at the Palace Theatre. Next game day is Nov. 27.

Please keep the following in your prayers: Lucy Parrott, Jim Brennan, Louise Visage, Carol Kirkland and the Gambaccini family.

Dues for next year can be paid now in order to get your name in the new membership book for 2013. Fred reminded us to keep buying Kroger coupons, bring in items for the 127 yard sale next year and there is bluegrass music every Thursday night at the senior center. Thanks everyone for participating in the hat contest.

Carol Marr and her group played and sang for us and we all enjoyed their talents.

After the table blessing Virginia Herbert and her kitchen helpers served baked chicken and sides brought in by members.
