Referred to as the "best little club on the mountain," Neighbors and Newcomers will be holding its last meeting of the year May 23. After a fun-filled, interesting and exciting year, the group will enjoy this end-of-the-year lunch at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds.
At this meeting, they will celebrate spring with Sarah Johnson from the Johnson’s Nursery in Cookeville. She will give them some information to help those green thumbs to grow greener and to give those not so green thumbs some hope.
The new officers, chairpersons and committees will be introduced and installed at the May meeting. For all those who put so much time and energy into making the club what it is, thank you!
Checks will also be distributed at this meeting to the various organizations that Neighbors and Newcomers has adopted. Thanks to the entire membership for its generous support of these many organizations over the past year.
Reservations can be made by contacting Robbie Corbin at 456-2790 or Barb Fenency at 707-8121, or via email at email@example.com. Please make or cancel your reservation by May 17.
All are welcome. So come on out and meet a stranger, make a friend at what is called the "best little club on the mountain." For more information about the club, check out the website at http://sites.google.com/site/neighborsandnewcomers.
