CROSSVILLE — The Seniors of 127 South met Dec. 21 for their regular games, conversation, sweets and coffee. Arlene Simmons called the bingo numbers, and Buckeye Home Health furnished the bingo prizes. Fred Zoeller, president, opened the regular meeting, with Mildred Mims giving the prayer and Gerry Mims leading the pledge to the flag.

Jan Neitzke gave the trips report and the first trip in 2013 will be to Renfro Valley, KY for a variety show. Cost will be $65 and that includes dinner. Seats are still available for this trip. April 15-19 will be the Memphis/Tunica trip, with final payment due in January. There are two trips scheduled for Mackinac Island and those dates are Sept. 8-14 and Sept. 22-28.

Nancy Fincher gave the sunshine report and asked members to keep the following in their prayers: Jim Brennan, Mary Hirsch, Frances Brown, Bill Bullard, Dee Crawford, Pat Mount, Dot Conklin, T.C. Lewis, Leroy Hinkson, Mario Gambaccini and Kathleen Zuk.

Fred reminded everyone that the senior center will be closed Dec. 28 and installation of officers will be Jan. 4. There will be no bluegrass music Dec. 27. Keep bringing in items for the 127 yard sale and keep buying Kroger coupons.

Betty and Mike Roe provided the entertainment — Christmas songs and storytelling. After the table blessing, Elaine Mumme and kitchen crew served meatloaf along with sides brought in by members.
