CROSSVILLE — Sonny Shroyer, best known for playing Deputy Enos Strate on the hit TV show "The Dukes of Hazzard," will be appearing Saturday, June 29, at the Cumberland County Community Complex to meet fans and sign autographs. Appearing with him will be Hazzard Life, who will be bringing the famous 1969 Dodge Charger “The General Lee,” along with a Hazzard County police car, Daisy's Jeep and Cooter's tow truck.

In addition, there will be a car show featuring many restored classics as well as newer and modified models to check out. A trophy will be awarded as part of the show.

Radio station 102.5 Wow Country will be broadcasting live and the local band Pure Country will be playing hits new and old. Musical guests Anthony Woolbright, Dustin Johns, Poo Bah and Brian Wyer are also scheduled to perform, and Forrest Gump and Elvis impersonators will entertain the crowd.

Children will have fun playing in an inflatable bounce house and sliding down a giant slide. However, both the young and old will enjoy riding in the General Lee. Plus food vendors will serve up burgers, barbecue, fried apple pies and cold beverages.

Admission is $5 (ages 9 and under are free). There will also be hourly door prizes (you must be present to win). Profits will be used to help the Crossville Comets, a seventh-grade basketball team, attend the AAU national tournaments in Ohio July 2013.

Gates will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bring the family and friends out for some good old-fashioned fun and don't forget the camera. For more information, call Stan Johnson at 200-4527.
