CROSSVILLE — Senior citizens of 127 South met April 19 for their weekly meeting. Bingo was played from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., with some very useful prizes supplied by Buckeye Home Health Care.

Following bingo, the meeting was opened with Vice President Mary Bohrman presiding. Bob Jones gave the opening prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Nancy Fincher reported on those who were sick and how Frank Knapp is doing better. She mentioned Mildred Mims, how Larry Oslund is improving and asked everyone to keep Pat Mount in their prayers.

Tom Fincher reminded them of the upcoming Music of the Cumberlands at the Palace Theatre on June 8. This is an annual fundraiser.

Many of the members were away on the Memphis trip, but they had a good attendance and a truly great program. A group from Harmony Baptist sang for them, with Carol Marr at the piano, and Dennis Merrill, Ed Cagel and Ray and Ann Brigance singing. It was a mixture of country, classical and gospel.

Bob Jones led the blessing, a very good dinner was enjoyed by all. They thank Sharon Hilton and her helpers for the dinner.
