See Crossville's spooky side on Ghost Tour

Submitted

CROSSVILLE — The Haunted Holiday is on the way, and Downtown Crossville, Inc. is again sponsoring their popular Ghost Tour of downtown Crossville, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. The event takes place Oct. 20 from 6-8 p.m., with tours leaving the Native Stone Museum on the Courthouse Square every 15 minutes.

Volunteers will lead small groups to various locations where there will be storytellers to relate the legends of ghosts and goblins. An exciting special bonus this year will be the findings of Paranormal Travelers Michael and Cindy Wolski, who visited Crossville from Ohio this past August and investigated four different downtown buildings. They will share their film and recordings during the tours. Their website, http://websd-paranormaltravelingcom.webs.com/, describes suspected paranormal activity at the Military Museum downtown.

Students from SMHS will be participating in the event and additional volunteers for leading groups, storytelling, selling tickets and other duties are still needed.

Tickets for this fundraiser for Downtown Crossville, Inc. are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 16. There is a $1 discount for advance purchase of tickets, which are available at the Depot or Native Stone Museum. For more information or to volunteer, call the DCI office at 787-1324 or Terri Curran at 465-6799.
