CROSSVILLE — The 127 Senior Center members gathered together on Nov. 8 to socialize with coffee, goodies and chit chat. Billiards, dominos and bingo were enjoyed by the members. Bingo was called by Bob Jones, and the gifts were provided by Bob Folger of State Farm Insurance.

Mary Bohrman, vice president, opened the general meeting at 10:40 a.m., with Sharon Hilton saying the opening prayer and Bob Jones leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mary advised members to keep Jan Neitzke in their prayers. The sign-up sheets are on the front table for the ones who are interested in the 2014 trips. Mary welcomed the new members, Jan Grote and Mary Brewer. The members who are interested in running for any office position should see Sally Sykes to sign up.

Sunshine Lady Nancy Fincher gave a report on all the members who are sick and/or recuperating from different conditions or mishaps. Nancy reminded everyone to keep them in their prayers and to not forget the brave military men and women. Georgene Krogman read a poem with a powerful message called "It's a Soldier" in honor of Veterans Day.

The entertainment was provided by Lonnie Daniels on guitar and Wayne Vest on banjo. The members enjoyed the music and some good storytelling. Thank you gentleman for your talents.

After the dinner prayer, the members enjoyed a delicious pork tenderloin meal with side dishes and desserts provided by the members. God bless and have a wonderful week.
