Another year is well on its way at the 127 South Senior Center. Everyone enjoy playing billiards, dominos and bingo. Arlene Simmons called the numbers. She is a hoot, always cutting up with them. They love Arlene. Thanks to Buckeye Home Health for the bingo prizes. It is very much appreciated.
Bob Jones filled in for President Fred Zoeller, opening the meeting. Leroy Hinkson led the prayer, and Ted Mumme did the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob encouraged all members to sign up with Kroger so they can receive more benefits. They want to thank Kroger for all their support.
They still have some seats available for some of the trips scheduled for 2014. For more information, call Jan at 788-3667.
Nancy Fincher, the sunshine lady, is still under the weather. Please keep her in your prayers as well as Brenda Williams, Charlie Ferguson, Jim Evans, Linda Russell and Kay Ballew.
Remember to bring in items for the corridor sale, which is the center's largest fundraiser. They have bluegrass on Thursday night at 5 p.m. It is free to the public.
Gabby read a poem, titled "Old Folks," which was very funny and had a lot of truth in there. Thanks, Gabby.
Terri and Richard Utsey was the entertainer for the day, and boy were they great. They want them to come back soon. Visitors were Nina and Harold Bolin, Doug and Diane Lock and Ron and Helen Lord.
After the dinner prayer, members enjoyed a delicious meal of pork loin and the trimmings prepared by Elaine Mumme and her helpers.
