CROSSVILLE — The 127 Seniors met Nov. 30 for their usual games and conversation. Wendell Lester called the bingo numbers and Dr. Galloway furnished the prizes.

Fred Zoeller opened the regular meeting with Mildred Mims giving the prayer and Gerry Mims leading the pledge to the flag. Guests for the day were Avonelle McCormack and Jean Wettlaufer.

Jan mentioned our last trip this year will be to Pigeon Forge to see the Smoky Mountain Opry Christmas Show and the Winterfest Lights. The buses will be leaving the center at 9 a.m. There are two seats available for the Tunica/Memphis trip in April 2013. The Mackinac Island trips are planned for Sept. 8-14 and Sept. 22-28.

Nancy Fincher gave the sunshine report and please keep the following in your prayers: Jim Brennan, Frances Brown, Kathleen Zuk, Bill Bullard, Dot Conklin, Pat Mount, T.C. Lewis, Mary Hirsch and the military.

The Christmas dinner will be Dec. 14 with bingo starting at 9 a.m. Special prizes that day. Also, board members are to have their meeting at 8 a.m. that morning.

Fred reminded us that the senior center will be closed Dec. 28. Keep buying Kroger coupons, bring in items for the 127 Sale next year and bluegrass music is every Thursday evening. Dec. 7 will be the election for the 2013 officers.

We had a special birthday cake for Bob Winnie who is 90 years young.

Dennis Donald provided entertainment with his beautiful voice. Thanks, Dennis.

After the table blessing, Sharon Hilton and her kitchen helpers served the fifth Friday meal of sandwiches, soup, salads and desserts.
