Rosalyn Hufford has studied and participated in several aspects of the fine arts throughout her life. She completed classes in charcoal drawing, oil painting and pottery at Penn State University for three years. The artist painted in oils until she discovered the beauty of transparent watercolors.
Hufford gets her enthusiasm and motivation to paint from instruction books, taking watercolor classes, attending workshops and sharing ideas with other artists. She paints primarily from her own photographs in floral, portrait, landscape subjects as well as plein air painting.
The exhibit at the Palace in Crossville will continue through January. Other pieces by the artist can be seen at the Plateau Creative Arts Center, 451 Lakeview Dr. (off Peavine), Fairfield Glade.
