Elks’ fish fry returns this Friday

— Join the Elks Lodge for its famous fish fry July 12, serving from 4 to 7 p.m. For an all-inclusive price of $10 per person, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat fish and sides of coleslaw, French fries or baked potato and dessert. For the non-fish lover, they offer a single serving of half a baked chicken, which includes all side dishes. Children eight years and younger eat half price. Children under three years eat free.

Elks are a nationwide community-service organization of well over a million American citizens. They love their country and desire to preserve its cherished institutions, traditions and values. They respect their neighbors and constantly seek to promote their well-being. They love and enjoy life and believe this enjoyment is increased by sharing it with family, friends and all with whom they come in contact. They bring encouragement, cheer and comfort to veterans throughout the United States in fulfillment of their solemn pledge: “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.”

The Elks Lodge is open to its members and guests. For additional information about how the Elks Lodge helps the community and you are 21 or older, believe in God and are an American citizen, call the Lodge at 484-0150. They are at 1145 Genesis Rd., which is about half mile south of I-40. Lodge hours are noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Please keep in mind they have limited parking. So if you can carpool, that would be greatly appreciated.
