Celtic Society to meet Oct. 1

Submitted

CROSSVILLE — The Celtic Society – Americans Celebrating Their Celtic Heritage will hold its next gathering at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Christian Church of the Cumberlands, 1312 First St., Crossville. The church is located 1.2 miles from Peavine Rd. and 1.2 miles from Main St.

Anyone with Scottish, Irish or Welsh ancestry is invited to enjoy the fellowship of others with a Celtic heritage. Don't know who your ancestors are? Do you like bagpipe music? If the answer is yes, then you probably have Celtic blood running through your veins.

Plans for the future include hosting the award-winning Knoxville Pipes and Drum Band in the Crossville Christmas Parade, Robert Burn's Celebration in January, St. Patrick's Day Celebration in March, Tartan Day Celebration in April and genealogy seminars throughout the year.
