Hospice Auxiliary sets third butterfly release for June 15

Submitted

CROSSVILLE — The Fairfield Glade Hospice Auxiliary will present the third annual Hospice Benefit Celebration of Life Butterfly Release Saturday, June 15, on the courthouse lawn in Crossville, from 9 to 10 a.m. The program will be an uplifting and joyful experience remembering those we have loved and lost, including a reading of the names they are celebrating, a butterfly blessing, special music, commemorative readings and the release of the butterflies to mingle with the crowd and flowering plants.

The donation for the butterflies is $20 for one name to be remembered or $100 for six different names to be remembered. They encourage the public to attend the event, bring a lawn chair and wear brightly colored clothing. Those unable to attend can still reserve butterflies in the name of a family member or friend and these will also be released.

Butterfly order forms are available at the Hospice office at 30 East Adams St. You can also complete and submit the required information — your name, phone number, email address, the name(s) of those whose life you wish to have memorialized/honored and if you plan on attending or want the butterflies released on your behalf.

Checks can be made payable to FFG Hospice Auxiliary for Celebration of Life and mailed to FFG Hospice Auxiliary, P.O. Box 1943, Crossville, TN 38558. Once your check has been received, you will receive a confirmation by telephone or email. If you have any questions, please call 707-5329 or (720) 319-1457.

The deadline for ordering butterflies is May 31.

Proceeds from this event will continue the important work of Hospice of Cumberland County to provide quality end of life care for the terminally ill and grief support for their families.
