Preparations are under way by the Crossville Knights of Columbus for the 18th annual Oktoberfest. Reserve the dates of Oct. 10 and 11 for your dining, dancing and listening pleasure high atop the Cumberland Plateau, located at the Knights of Columbus Activity Park, 2892 Highway 70 East in Crossville (Exit 322 off I-40, south to Hwy. 70, then 1/3 mile east).
The festivities will kick off with the traditional tapping of the keg at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10. The tapping of the keg this year will be done by the event Honorary Lord Mayor Josh Brandon from 102.5 WOW Country. Continuous music will then run immediately after through 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 11, another day of fun, food, music and excitement begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 9:30 p.m.
Oktoberfest in Crossville has become an event that is anxiously awaited by many throughout Middle and East Tennessee. Oktoberfest in Crossville has been rated by many as the most authentic Oktoberfest they have attended.

Admission tickets are $7 at the gate; advance tickets are $5, and can be purchased at both Cancun Mexican Restaurants, the Lace Place and Artist Corner in Crossville, the Fairfield Glade Community Center in Fairfield and Star Realty in Lake Tansi or by calling 707-7291 or e-mailing jguzek@citlink.net.
