Fire House Fest set for Aug. 16

— Luminary-Frostbite Volunteer Fire Department announces their upcoming annual Fire House Fest to be held Saturday, Aug. 16, from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. EDT at the fire hall. Special live music will be provided by Edd Frazier and band. An auction will be held at 2 p.m. Among the items to be auctioned will be a dining room table and chairs, many other great furniture items, two console TVs, knitted afghans, many new items donated by merchants from surrounding counties, and many other great donated items. Beef brisket barbecue sandwich dinners, hot dog dinners, and foods sold individually will be sold for a small donation. Door prize tickets will be given out at no cost. There will be a "car bash," kid's games, and raffles.
All proceeds go toward the building fund, purchase of a truck, replacement and upkeep of equipment and gear. Come out for a great fun day, and help support the fire department. The fire department is located on Summer City Road, 13 miles north of Route 30 and Dayton Mountain, or 11 miles from Spring City up Shut-In-Gap Road off Route 68.
