Plateau PC Users Group to discuss blogs July 20

July 02, 2009 04:11 pm

The Plateau PC Users Group will meet Monday, July 20, at the 127 South Senior Center. Please note the meeting time for summer is 6 p.m. The program topic is “Blogs.”
There’s a whole other world out there on the 'net — the blog, or Weblog, world. If you've ever wondered what a blog is, how to blog, how to use it or where to find it, Alan Baker of the PPCUG will present a program on the topic at the July meeting. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. To discover all that is involved with blogging and explore this unique world, come to the meeting on July 20.
As always the meeting begins with questions/answers at 6 p.m. The Q/A session is followed by a short business meeting, with the main presentation beginning at 7 p.m. The Plateau PC Users Group meets the third Monday of the month at the 127 South Senior Center. PPCUG is dedicated to helping its members and the community better enjoy the use of personal computers. Visitors are always welcome at our meetings and there is no charge for attendance. For more information and to read the latest version of their newsletter, the Gazette, visit their Web site at www.ppcuginc.com or call Carl Nordeen, president, at 456-5597.
