June 25, 2009 06:52 pm

A concert to benefit Jay Fox, gospel singer from Crossville, is planned for Monday at 7 p.m. at the Palace Theatre.
The concert will feature entertainment by "T" Shurmur, Regina Stephens, Tommy Dee, Phillip Turner, D.J. Garrison, Judy Fistler, Johnny Moore and Wetwood Dalton. Tickets are $10 and will be sold only at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
Fox is currently in critical condition at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He was bitten or stung by an unknown insect or animal June 4 while working outside. As part of the treatment, Fox had his leg amputated to the hip. He has had other complications, though family members say doctors are optimistic about his recovery.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit Fox and his family with medical expenses.
A fund has also been set up to assist the family, the Jay Fox Family Fund, at Regions Bank.
Donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 1702, Fairfield Glade, TN 38558 or dropped off at U.S.A. Realty at the Village Green Mall in Fairfield Glade. Please make checks out to the Jay Fox Family Fund.
