Fair Park Senior Center news

Fair Park is pleased to announce that the center will be hosting a new line group on Thursday evenings starting July 2 from 6:30-9 p.m. No matter if you’re beginner, intermediate, or couples, everyone is welcome to attend. This class, led by Frank and Sandy Doherty, will begin at 6:30 p.m. with lessons for beginners and “newbies” to the art of line dancing. At approximately 7 p.m., dancing will begin for intermediate and couples until 9 p.m. Soft drinks will be available for purchase, and plenty of friendly companionship will abound.

Fair Park’s Monday morning line dancing class will offer a short instruction for beginners right after bingo (between 10:30-11 a.m.) before the scheduled class begins at 11, so those interested in learning some of the fundamentals of line dancing earlier in the day are more than welcome.

June continues to be a great month at Fair Park to take part in programs that will improve your health and lifestyle — stay tuned! And to keep informed about Fair Park’s activities and to learn about its corporate partnerships, you can visit the center Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can also visit the center’s Web site at www.fairparkseniorcenter.org to keep up-to-date on the latest programs and activities that are being offered as well as online versions of the center’s monthly newsletter “Newsline.” Take advantage of the resources that Fair Park offers — get involved, and become part of the fun!
