The Beta Sigma Phi Founder's Day and installation of officers was observed by Laureate Alpha Kappa chapter April 19. Members and guests were welcomed for brunch at the home of Bill and Sandy Haynes of Crossville.
Sister chapter Iota Kappa of Cookeville conducted the installation officers ritual for Linda Colaric, president; Sandra Kellough, vice president; Helen Belser, corresponding and recording secretary; and Sandy Haynes, treasurer.
Letters from the international office in Kansas City, MO, from William Ross, son of the group's founder, and Laura Ross, granddaughter of founder Walter W. Ross, were read, congratulating and observing the members of Tennessee's newest active chapter.
A brief business session was then conducted, in which announcement of the Tennessee State Convention of Beta Sigma Phi to be held in Nashville is set for May 23-25. All Tennessee chapters are invited to take part in this 77th year of sorority.
The members will be meeting May 20 at 1 p.m. at the Artist Corner.
