Students and staff of Ms. Cam's Studio will be presenting their annual recital May 3 in Stone Memorial High School's auditorium. Show times are 2 and 6:30 p.m.
The performance, "Celebrate!" marks the special 10-year anniversary of the studio. Director Cameron Hill and her staff — Deborah Oakes, Ashley Gentry, Kiersten Mays, and Camille Thurman — have been enthusiastically working to make this recital one to celebrate! Showcasing the talent of 140 students, the recital will feature a ballet, tap, jazz, modern and creative movement dance pieces.
"We have such a wonderful reason to celebrate as we have been so blessed with our studio these past 10 years," Hill said.
The studio began 10 years ago with 20 students. Now, there are 175 students taking classes in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and creative movement, tumbling, and Zumba.
Hill expresses appreciation to all those who have been involved in the studio for the last decade. "We have had amazing support and commitment, from our 'studio family' — students, parents, staff and business sponsors," Hill said. "Because of them, our studio has grown and continues to grow, allowing us to provide an enriching experience for our students."
Tickets for "Celebrate!" may be purchased at the studio, 56 South Main St. in downtown Crossville, or at the door. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children and students. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Ms. Cam's studio specializes in quality training with an element of fun in a safe and nurturing environment. It was recently voted "Best Dance Studio" in the Crossville Chronicle's People's Choice Awards.
