Hwy. 127 Senior Center news

The Senior Citizens of 127 South met April 25 with Harold Moyer standing in for President Emil Neitzke who was out of town. Bingo was played before the meeting, with gifts furnished by Dr. Galloway. Members appreciate the generosity of the different people who furnish these gifts.

Harold Moyer called the meeting to order, with prayer by Joyce Kappel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Carol Kirkland reported on the sick. Remember John Marvin, Gene and Jo Broughton, Pat Weaver, Irene Malgeri, Bea Stamper, Bob Dormagen, Lester Goforth, and Ed and Martha Enoksen.

Do not bring any desserts next week, as members are collecting yard sale items all the time. May 24 will be here before you know it, as members will be going to Mount Rushmore! Jan has a great itinerary for the trip.

The program was the Golden Aires from Pomona Methodist Church. It is a great choir with Sam Graham directing. Pastor Bratton Tucker and Harold Fuller shared jokes with the members. Grace Fuller played the piano for the group. They are very enthusiastic in what they do.

Harold Moyer gave the blessing for a delicious dinner of spaghetti and meatballs, and a large variety of foods brought in by members. They are a volunteer group, and everyone contributes in some way. Members thank all those who work in the kitchen, including Sharon Hilton, Mary McClure, Dorothy Dykes, and Rachel Schellinger, plus the dish washers.
