With more than 60 exhibits, the Upper Cumberland Showcase for Women will be the largest Women's Show since its birth six years ago.
The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 8, at the Agricultural Complex at the White County fairgrounds. This ultimate celebration for women will feature the latest products and services in fashion, beauty, health, nutrition, fitness, financial planning, home, autos, lifestyle, handmade crafts and much more.
Tickets are on sale now at several locations around Sparta and Cookeville. Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge.
This sixth annual showcase is designed from the beginning to the end with features focusing exclusively for women. Games and prizes will be part of the entertainment throughout the day. The stage will be set for attendees to enjoy fashion shows, makeovers, massages, learn more about skin care, hair care, and interior decorating, find out what is new in beauty products, jewelry, and accessories. Health screenings and other educational information will be available, as well as many live demonstrations, and of course, the ever-popular Make n' Take workshops will be back.
"Women have incredible power in today's family, both personal and economic," said Cristie Hatmaker, Expositor advertising manager. "Unfortunately, many are so busy handling life's necessities, they don't take time to explore new interest or enjoy a little pampering."
Women of all ages are invited to come and enjoy a day of pampering. This year's booths will include many favorites from the past and several newcomers to the growing annual event.
"Bring address labels to make it easier to sign up for door prizes at the booths, and remember to wear comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes, and enjoy the day," Hatmaker said. "The Women's Show is the one place to discover what is new, and for us to reenergize and renew ourselves, mind, body and spirit."
The grand prize for 2006 is a kitchen makeover including appliances, flooring, cabinets, countertops, paint, window treatments and accessories. Other prizes include a complete bedding ensemble valued at more than $2,500, and cash and treasures valued at more than $30,000.
So make plans now to join in at the sixth annual Women's Show for a day of fun, friends and fantastic prizes.
