Hilltoppers enjoy Christmas bash

Christmas is caring! Christmas is sharing! Christmas is the giving of the gift of ourselves to bring happiness to others!

On Dec. 23 there was much caring, sharing and happiness as the Knights of Columbus St. Bernard Council 8152 hosted the annual Hilltoppers Christmas Party at the Hilltoppers facility.

Approximately 120 Hilltoppers and their caretakers shared in the excitement of the party. Thirty-five Knights, their spouses and family members greeted the Hilltoppers, as the busy elves treated the guests with popcorn. Pizza and sodas were also enjoyed while awaiting the arrival of Santa. Upon his arrival, Santa was greeted with cheers and smiles as each Hilltopper was photographed with Santa and received a stuffed animal of his/her choice. The 110 stuffed animals were donated by the CCW Ladies of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

The members of the Knights of Columbus would like to thank everyone who helped make this annual Christmas party such a special occasion for this special group of people. A special thank you goes to Cumberland County Bank for providing the popcorn and to the following businesses for providing 55 pizzas: Papa John's Pizzas, Pizza Hut — Main Street, Genesis Italian Grill, Little Caesar's Pizza, Godfathers Pizza, and Pizza Hut —Travel Pizza and to the CCW Ladies of St. Francis. Also, a tip of the KofC hat goes to Jerry Smith, without whose help the group would not have had those wonderful pizzas, and to Bill Goss, who made a marvelous Santa! Your generosity is appreciated!
