Robbins, Halfacre to wed Oct. 20


CROSSVILLE — Carl and Gertrude Robbins, of Clarkrange, and Melissa Durham, of Deer Lodge, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtney Lynn Robbins, to Robert Landon Halfacre, son of Michael Halfacre, of Cookeville, and Larry and Brenda Preston, of Gordonsville.

The ceremony will be Saturday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m. in Bloomington Springs, TN, with a reception to follow.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Thomas and Hazel England, of Sheffield Lake, OH.

She is a 2007 graduate of Clarkrange High School and a 2011 graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a degree in agriculture, concentrating in education. She is employed by Stone Memorial High School as an agriculture instructor.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mary Halfacre and the late Robert J. Halfacre, of Cookeville, and the late Glenn and Wilma Nixon, of Hickman.

He is a 2007 graduate of Gordonsville High School and a member of the Tennessee Technological University class of 2011 with a degree in agricultural engineering technology. He is employed by USDA/NRCS, in Murfreesboro, as a soil conservationist.

The couple will reside in Bloomington Springs, TN. Invitations have been sent.
