Dorieli Keif was traveling through Grassy Cove Monday morning and saw fields flooded from the rains over the weekend. The county has recorded more than 7 inches of precipitation from April showers, about 2.76 inches more than normal, according to the National Weather Service. Residents can expect a brief reprieve in the rain this week, with partly cloudy skies expected through Thursday, but rain returns to the forecast for the weekend.
