Kerri Deck, senior pool attendant for the Public Works Division, received the Lifeguard of the Year Award for 2013. This award is presented to one lifeguard each season. Deck was responsible for rescuing a struggling child in Druid Hills Pool this summer. In addition to being an alert lifeguard who is always on her toes, Deck demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive attitude. She is the first person to volunteer for extra shifts, events and to complete extra cleaning duties while working (all while being in high school and playing sports). She is a leader among her peers and is a reliable employee in making sure activities run smoothly. Thank you, Kerri, for you hard work and dedication to Fairfield Glade Community Club and all our customers.
