Emergency responders located and recovered Gerald Haynes, 71, of Crossville Thursday morning. The man went missing from his home in the Holiday Hills area around noon on Wednesday. Emergency responders from the Crossville Fire Department, Cumberland County Rescue Squad and Cumberland County Fire Department and Sheriff's Department searched overnight for the man. He was found Thursday morning in a wooded area in between Gore Rd. and Prentice St. Rescue workers carried Haynes out near 570 Prentice St. where he was transported by Cumberland County EMS to Cumberland Medical Center. Haynes was cold, but in good condition, according to a Facebook post by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department. The county used the Reverse 911 system to alert residents in nearby neighborhoods to be on the lookout for the man.
